WTF, SNW?

I just watched this week's episode of Strange New Worlds. Unlike with the rest of this season's episodes, I don't have questions. I have question. Singular. With variants. To wit:

Why was this even made?

Who thought this was a good idea?

Was there a point in its development in which it was at all funny?

Or relevant to the series?

I will do a real review later. It will not be favorable.
